CHANGLANG, Apr 16: Liquors seized from various parts of Changlang district during the election process were destroyed at the urban development department’s dumping ground here on Tuesday.
More than 350 litres of IMFL and 355 litres of beer and other alcoholic beverages were seized by a board comprising the town magistrate, the tax & excise assistant commissioner and the Changlang DSP.
Members of the Tangnu Women Welfare Society also witnessed the destruction of liquors.
In Longding district also, all the liquors seized from different parts of the district were destroyed by a team of officials from the district administration and the district liquor monitoring squad at the waste dumping area in the district headquarters. (DIPROs)
