ZIRO, Apr 18: A four-month-long training programme on cane and bamboo crafts, organised by the North East Multipurpose Development Society (NEMDS), concluded here in Lower Subansiri district on Tuesday with distribution of tool kits and certificates by the handicrafts development commissioner, Itanagar, to the trainees.
Addressing the valedictory function, Textiles & Handicrafts (T&H) Director Haj Dodung emphasized the importance of technical training for employment generation, and advised the trainees to continue making handicraft products.
The programme was also attended by T&H Assistant Director Hage Tatan and Handicrafts Promotion Officer Mibin Dirchi, besides members of the NEMDS.
