Dear Editor,
The UPSC issues fresh advertisement even before the completion of the current civil services exam. The same is the case with the SSC. Due to the paper leakage case, the recruitment process of SSC CGL-2017 is still not completed. But the SSC has advertised SSC CGL-2018 whose Tier-I exam is going to be conducted in June this year.
Nowhere is it written in the APPSC rulebook that fresh advertisement cannot be issued without completion of the current APPSCCE. The APPSCCE-2016 is in the court, and it may take some time to be resolved. But there are hundreds of candidates who are soon going to be overage. For them, even a single day is very precious. These hundreds of candidates will get one more last chance if the government/APPSC floats the fresh advertisement without waiting for the court judgment on APPSCCE-2016.
It is not that vacancies are not available. Vide order No LR-50/91 (Vol-II) dated 15 June, 2018, published in the Arunachal Pradesh Gazette, four posts of district land revenue settlement officer and five posts of assistant survey and settlement officer have been created. And many new districts have been opened which are facing shortage of officials.
Therefore, through your esteemed daily, I would like to appeal to consider the plea of unemployed ageing candidates and advertise the APPSCCE soon.
Sincerely,
Sojum Kalong,
Naharlagun
