Dear Editor,
The Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (TRIHMS), Naharlagun, is the lone hospital for the common and the middle-class people of the capital complex and the state.
For the last two weeks most of the ceiling fans in the hospital are not working properly. They have apparently been defective for the last couple of months.
It’s is very sad to see the patients and their caretakers, who have to sweat in the heat. They bring their own fans, and some of them have had to buy new fans from the shops.
I think this situation shows the weakness of the authority and the medical staff of the TRIHMS, and the state government.
I urge the authority concerned and the state government to take early measures to help the needy patients.
