Youths exhorted to join armed forces

WAKRO, Jun 19: 20th Madras Regiment Commanding Officer (CO), Col Vikram Singh Nalawade, exhorted the youths of the state to choose the armed forces as a career option.
“The Indian Army and other armed forces provide great challenges and opportunities to lead a meaningful life. The Indian Army is one of world’s biggest standing army and is one of the best career options for the youths to transform and uplift their lives while serving the nation,” the CO said, addressing the students of Apna Vidya Bhavan and the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya here in Lohit district on Wednesday.
The colonel made a PowerPoint presentation on life in the Indian Army, and informed that the 20th Madras regiment has conducted pre-recruitment training for the youths of the area, and that many youths have already qualified and joined the Indian Army.
Among others, Wakro police station OC Inspector Thomas Pertin and GREF OIC Nitin Chouhan were present on the occasion.
