ITANAGAR, Jun 20: A team comprising Capital Complex DTO C Wangsu, MVI T Soni and Nirjuli police station OC (in-charge) T Hassang on Thursday conducted a vehicle checking drive in Lekhi village and removed tinted films from the windows of several vehicles, besides seizing a ‘punching machine’ used for making illegal registration plates.
In a similar drive in Papu Nallah area, the DTO and the team of officials removed tinted glasses from about 120 vehicles.
Capital Complex DC Vikram Singh Malik said the administration has zero tolerance against violators of traffic rules. He requested the residents of the capital to cooperate with the administration and abide by the traffic rules and regulations.
He has also directed the car decor shops to refrain from indulging in illegal activities, saying action would otherwise be initiated against them. (DIPRO)
