ITANAGAR, Aug 7: The IX Pirates and Tara SC won their respective matches against Chandranagar FC and T-Group FC in the Independence Day football tournament at APP ground here on Wednesday.
While IX Pirates beat Chandranagar FC 2-1 in the first match, Tara SC defeated T-Group FC 4-2 in the second match.
Likha Oum and Anand Tame scored a goal each for IX Pirates. The only goal for Chandranagar FC was scored by Tassar Dignim.
Taba Cell scored three goals and Hiba Degar one for Tara SC. Tayer Tapa netted both the goals for T-Group.
On Thursday, SPD FC will face Chandranagar FC at 2 pm while Gohpur Sporting Club will be up against Group Center FC at 3:30 pm, according to organizers.
