CHANGLANG, Aug 13: The All Tangsa Students’ Union has raised objection to the reported appointment of school teachers as block level officers (BLO) in Changlang district.
In a representation to the deputy commissioner on Monday, the union stated that teachers are being appointed as BLOs despite the shortage of teachers in the district.
“The additional charge given to the teachers is not only adversely affecting school education in the district but also distracting them from performing their main duty,” the union said, and requested the DC to look into the matter, saying there are AFAs and BLWs to perform the task of BLOs.
