Dear Editor,
I would like to emphasize that stenography itself is going obsolete with voice recorders available in all mobile phones. Instead of emphasizing on knowledge of stenography, the government should make typing speed and office skills necessary as, ultimately, that is what the nature of the job is. Also, it will help hundreds of eligible candidates with such skills to apply for the post.
With time and technology, we need to change our recruitment procedures. I am hoping for the government to take active decision in this regard.
