Dist level badminton tournament organized

YOMCHA, Aug 19: The third West Siang district badminton championship, organized by the West Siang District Badminton Association, concluded at the Jarbom Gamlin indoor stadium here on Sunday.
Domo Gamlin clinched the men’s singles title, defeating Sange Tsering Sherpa in the final.
Kenjom Ete and Ige Bomjen won the men’s doubles title, beating Kenli Riram and Joge Kamki, while the pair of Kenli Riram and Oni Lona won the mixed doubles title, defeating Kenjom Ete and Nuri Chirom.
Liromoba MLA Nyamar Karbak, who attended the closing function, assured to take steps to develop badminton facilities and courts in Kamba, Liromoba, Yomcha and Darak circles. He also assured to sponsor all the selected players from West Siang for the Dorjee Khandu Memorial Badminton Championship.
Karbak advised budding sportspersons to take up games and sports professionally and grab the job opportunities provided by the government through reservation for meritorious sportsperson by excelling in their chosen sports.
