GoAP to collaborate with LBSNAA

ITANAGAR, Aug 19: The Arunachal Pradesh government is all set to collaborate with the prestigious Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand.
LBSNAA Director Sanjeev Chopra, who called on Chief Minister Pema Khandu here on Monday, commended the initiative and offered all assistance from the academy in “management and development of Arunachal through its disposition.”
Expressing gratitude to the director, Khandu reiterated his idea to create an ‘Arunachal study group’ in the LBSNAA – a think tank that will spread awareness on the importance and needs of Arunachal in different fora of the central government.
“The LBSNAA team with its unique disposition could provide crucial inputs to the government at the central level, state level and various non-government agencies. It would help with research and evaluation of the pressing issues and policies, and also be a platform for necessary inputs for changes in laws, rules and land reforms,” the CM said.
The academy would also open its vast resources of ‘Library Sargam’ and ‘Gyan Portal’, besides being a data repository of information, policies, literature and culture of Arunachal.
Chopra assured the CM that the academy would give its best to support the administrative training institute of the state through inputs and capacity building of the officers.
“It would also have experts visit Arunachal and recommend experts to call to create ideation and innovation thrust,” he said, and admitted the priorities of the state government, focussing on improving management and IT skills for social sectors like health and education, as well as their conceptualization and execution.
The LBSNAA is the premier training institution for the civil services in India. It conducts a common foundation course for entrants to the All India Services, the Indian Foreign Service, and Group A services of the union, followed by professional training for regular recruits of the Indian Administrative Service.
