CHIMPU, Aug 24: Chief Secretary (CS) Naresh Kumar said the state government will extend all possible support to the Sangay Lhaden Sports Academy (SLSA) here to make it a model sports academy at par with other renowned sports schools in the country.
Kumar on Saturday visited the SLSA and inspected the Astroturf football and hockey fields, the swimming pool, and various other sports infrastructure in the academy.
The CS also interacted with the officers, coaches and instructors of various sports disciplines under the sports & youth affairs department.
He advised SLSA Principal Komen Zirdo and others to find ways and means to further improve the academy for academic and sports excellence.
Kumar was accompanied by the capital complex deputy commissioner.
Sports & Youth Affairs Secretary Dani Salu, Sports Director Tadar Appa, Youth Affairs Director DK Dinglow, and other senior officers were present during the CS’ visit.
