RAGA, Aug 29: Raju Laa and Laa Yajum won the Kamle District Badminton Championship in the men’s and women’s singles category, respectively, during the finals which were played at the multipurpose indoor stadium here on Wednesday.
Thirty shuttlers had participated in the three-day event, which was conducted by the Kamle District Badminton Association (KDBA) under the aegis of the Arunachal State Badminton Association.
Other winners in the championship included Hil Teeli (boys’ singles, U-15), Nido Aya (girls’ singles, U-17), Niktor John (boys’ singles, U-13), Laa Raju and Monpha Wansu (men’s doubles), and Laa Yajum and Serbe Pegmir (mixed doubles).
KDBA vice president Lampop Laa informed that Laa Yajum and Nido Aya will be representing Kamle district in the upcoming Dorjee Khandu Memorial State Badminton Championship.
