RAGA, Sep 4: The Rashtriya Poshan Maah, under the flagship programme of Poshan Abhiyaan was launched at the Anganwadi centre here in Kamle district by Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) Hage Tarung on Wednesday.
The EAC also administered the poshan pledge to all the officers, Anganwadis workers, accredited social health activists and health workers during the launch.
Observation of the Rashtriya Poshan Maah aims at improving the nutritional status of children, adolescent girls, pregnant women and lactating mothers.
Earlier on Tuesday, the district convergence committee meeting cum preparatory meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Moki Loyi to finalize the list of events and programme for the Rashtriya Poshan Maah.
Accordingly the entire month of September will involve activities like poshan melas, poshan rallies, awareness programmes, anaemia camps and village health sanitation and nutrition day, etc across Kamle district. (DIPRO)
