PASIGHAT, Sep 16: Twenty-five participants, comprising extension functionaries and progressive farmers, underwent training on ‘Good horticultural practices for commercial Khasi mandarin’, organised by the College of Horticulture & Forestry (CHF) here in East Siang district from 12-14 September.
The training, which was inaugurated by CHF Dean Dr BN Hazarika, featured lectures and demonstration on commercial cultivation of Khasi mandarin, such as nursery management, nutrient management, weed management, irrigation, plant protection, post harvest handling, citrus decline, etc.
The participants were exposed to various aspects of cultivating Khasi mandarin. Pre-training and post-training evaluation were also carried out.
