KANUBARI, Sep 17: As many as 210 farmers of Sangsatham and Longhua villages, along with their rajas and chiefs participated in a ‘mass tree plantation-cum-distribution programme’ organised by the Longding KVK at the Sangsatam primary school here on Tuesday.
KVK Head (in-charge) Dr A Kirankumar Singh highlighted the importance of tree plantation and the role of trees for a healthy environment.
The KVK distributed saplings of fruits and economically viable trees among the farmers, and planted various saplings provided by the Kanubari DFO.
Dr Senpon Ngomle also spoke.
