JOLLANG, Sep 23: The cultural club of Don Bosco College (DBC) here organised a ‘modern cultural dance competition’ with the theme ‘Preserve, practice and promote’ the diverse ethnic cultures of the state.
Attending the function, DBC principal Fr Jose George expressed appreciation for the club, and advised the various clubs of the college to be “self-sufficient in their activities and programmes.”
He also advised the students to strive for perfection, “even in the smallest things they do,” saying they have greater things awaiting them in the future.
The club’s president, Charu Jake, also spoke.
The first prize of Rs 7,000 was bagged by the Nyijir Nyamam group, while the KD Bosconian group won the runner-up prize.
