Org seeks redress for various issues

ITANAGAR, Sep 28: The Charto Valley Welfare Society Taliha has written to various authorities, seeking early mitigation of issues affecting the residents of Taliha circle in Upper Subansiri district.
Stating that the people of the circle are faced with lack of proper water supply, the organisation in a representation to the PHED chief engineer here on Wednesday demanded sanctioning a scheme for a water supply project in Taliha town at the earliest.
In a separate representation to the education director, the organisation appealed for early posting of Hindi and science teachers at the government higher secondary school in Kodak and the secondary school in Taliha.
It also submitted a representation to the BRO’s Project Arunank CE here, seeking early start of the second phase work on the Daporijo-Taliha Trans-Arunachal Highway project.
It urged the CE to ensure that the second phase of the highway construction work is carried out from Taliha town first, for the benefit of the locals.
“The Daporijo-Taliha highway construction work had begun a decade back but has not been completed yet. The second phase of construction has been sanctioned but the work is yet to begin,” it said.
