ITANAGAR, Oct 22: A team of the All Arunachal Contractor’s Welfare Association, headed by its president Nabam Akin Hina, called on Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar at his office here on Tuesday, and apprised him of the “haphazard execution of works carried out by various departments, in violation of the laid down norms.”
The team said the poor execution of works has affected the quality of works.
It urged the CS to involve local officials in the implementation of the smart city projects in Itanagar and Pasighat, and also highlighted the “failure of the executing agencies in checking quality of works undertaken by the contractor,” alleging that the main reason for the poor the condition of the roads in capital region was failure of the authorities to check the quality of works.
Hina later informed in a press release that the CS assured the team of his cooperation in the interest of the state’s development.
