KHONSA, Nov 17: Over 300 patients from different parts of Tirap district benefitted from a free eye camp organised by the Arunachal Vikas Parishad (AVP), in collaboration with the health department, here on Sunday.
Tirap DC PN Thungon inaugurated the camp, in the presence of DMO Dr K Mossang and general hospital Medical Superintendent Dr K Socia.
A team of doctors led by renowned eye specialist Dr Ramesh Agarwalla from Dibrugarh (Assam)-based Drishti Netralaya Hospital, along with Dr RB Mishra from the AVP and junior eye specialist from the general hospital here, Dr Yala Guha, attended to the patients.
Twenty-five patients were advised to undergo cataract operation at the Drishti Netralaya Hospital free of cost.
Dr Mishra said a similar eye camp would be organised in Longding on 24 November, and informed that it would be mandatory for the patients to bring their Aadhar cards to the camp.
