NAMSAI, Nov 20: Seventeen female members from Farmers’ Producer Company (FPC) of Lekang block participated in a one-day programme on awareness and hands-on training on poultry vaccination conducted by the KVK of Namsai district here recently.
The FPC was newly formed for promotion of livestock enterprise at Namsai district and funded by the NABARD, Itanagar branch with supervision of the Namsai KVK.
During the training, Scientist in Animal Science division of KVK, Dr Binod Kr Dutta Borah urged all farmers to get their chicks regularly vaccinated to protect them against various seasonal diseases. He further urged farmers to skill themselves to know the basic treatments of their own animals which will reduce dependency of others.
Earlier, KVK distributed improved varieties of kalinga brown chicks to the FPC members after the training.
