DAPORIJO, Nov 21: The 4th Tadak Dulom Memorial Badminton Tournament concluded here in Upper Subansiri district on Thursday, with Taliha MLA Nyato Rigia attending the event’s valedictory function at Synyik Hall.
The MLA encouraged the players to “uphold the concept of the Fit India movement” and lauded them for maintaining the spirit of sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
In the men’s singles category, Tai Doyom was declared the winner, while Nehru Leriak was the runner-up. In the women’s singles category, Nyaty Dobin was declared the winner, while Adam Doyom was the runner-up.
In the mixed doubles category, Tai Doyom and Nyaty Dobin defeated Raja Bayor and Jage Doni. Also, Nyaty Dobin defeated Adam Doyom in the U-15 girls’ singles category, while in the U-15 boys’ singles category, Sunil Gamango defeated Nyate Dobin.
Nyate Dobin and Rakju Rigia defeated Sunil Gamango and Penga Richi in the U-15 boys’ doubles category.
