ITANAGAR, Dec 13: The All Nyishi Youth Association has submitted a representation to the home minister, seeking early notification of Puchi Geku, Muri Mugli and Gepen administrative circles under the Kamle district police jurisdiction (from the erstwhile Upper Subansiri district) and posting of adequate police personnel to Kamle.
In a release, the association claimed that during a recent “outreach tour” of its members to Ligu village, in Kamle, they interacted with the DC, the SP and the public, “wherein it was informed that the police jurisdiction of Kamle district is yet to be notified by the competent authority.”
“We appeal to the home minister to post adequate police personnel to Kamle district and also post one ASI/SI ranked officer to the Gepen outpost for public service. One Type 2 quarters and one bachelors’ barrack has also been earmarked temporarily at Gepen by the district administration for starting a temporary police outpost,” the association said.
