KIMIN, Jan 6: The Arunachal Pradesh Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (APB&OCWWB) organised an awareness camp for workers under the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) at the circuit house here in Papum Pare district on Sunday.
APB&OCWWB Chairman Jalley Sonam handed over blankets to 200 BRO labourers, while 150 new labourers got registered with the labour board, in the presence of Registration Officer Dosam Tara.
Sonam urged the remaining BRO workers to register themselves with the board, and spoke about the benefits it provides. He lamented that many registered BRO labourers could not earlier avail several schemes due to lack of awareness.
Sonam also said water filters would be provided to 40,000 registered workers, including BRO labourers, this year.
The BRO’s 85 RCC OC, Maj U Sharma, also spoke.
