SIMONG, Jan 6: The Yingkiong branch of the Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society (APWWS) conducted a legal awareness camp at Simong village in Upper Siang district on Monday.
Organised in collaboration with the women & child development department and the district legal services authority (DLSA), the camp saw the participation of more than 350 women and girls.
The participants were apprised of the legal rights of women, the Juvenile Justice Act, the POCSO Act, the Domestic Violence Act, etc, by DCPU Protection Officer Okit Jongkey and advocate Tapang Tabing from the DLSA. (DIPRO)
