PASIGHAT, Feb 13: Stakeholders, including HoDs, college principals, members of the ABK’s women’s wing, and members of NGOs and market committees participated in a meeting on the novel coronavirus, organised here by the East Siang District Health Society on Thursday.
Addressing the participants, DMO Dr Kaling Dai highlighted the current global situation, “with reference to India and East Siang district,” while District Surveillance Officer, Dr Tarik Talom, spoke about the causes, signs and symptoms, mode of infection, treatment, preventive measures, etc, vis-à-vis the coronavirus.
Dr Talom also highlighted the requirement of “strategic preparedness and response plans and measures for East Siang.”
Senior microbiologist from Bakin Pertin General Hospital, Dr Basumoti Apum, also spoke. (DIPRO)
