YUPIA, Feb 14: The Papum Pare district task force for immunization (DTFI) held a meeting on routine immunization, the Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI), and Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) here on Friday.
Chairing the meeting, the ADC (HQ) called for collective efforts from all stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of the ongoing health programmes, besides updating reports on time, as most of the health programmes are time-bound.
Lauding the efforts of the DHS, ADC (HQ) T Bodung urged the line departments to give full support to the health department during NDD, IPPI, IMI, and other related programmes in the district.
DMO Dr Subu Tasso Kampu reiterated the need to make concerted efforts to ensure that not a single child is left out of immunization, and said the micro-plan should be updated every six months.
She congratulated all the MOs and their subordinate staffs “for achieving 100 plus in the just concluded IPPI,” and asked them to update data on time.
DRCHO Dr Worar Taku, WHO SMO Dr Ushma Dharod, and WHO focal person Dr Victoria Sarungbam made PowerPoint presentations on various topics.
The meeting was followed by a district-level workshop on the National Iron Plus Initiative and an ‘orientation-cum- district level coordination meeting’ on the first round of the National Deworming Day, which is going to be launched on 22 February.
