ITANAGAR, Feb 14: Governor BD Mishra has greeted the people of the state on the occasion of Tamla Du festival of the Miju and the Digaru Mishmi communities.
In a message, the governor said, “The rich and vibrant festivals of Arunachal stand as a testimony to our valued traditions and cultures. These festivals are celebrated beyond the frontier of caste, creed, region, religion and tribe. This plays an important role in societal peace and harmony, and adds cohesion to our folds’ fibre and provides inter se amity within the people.”
He expressed hope that the festivity would usher in tranquillity and prosperity in the state. (Raj Bhavan)
