Reintroduction of work order system sought

ITANAGAR, Feb 21: The All Arunachal Pradesh Non-Registered Contractors Association has requested the state government to revise the Arunachal Pradesh District Based Entrepreneurs and Professionals (Incentives Development and Promotional) Rules, 2015, to incorporate the work order system for amounts below Rs 1 crore.
In a representation to the chief minister, the association on Friday claimed that many unemployed youths have been deprived because of the current shape of the rule.
It claimed that the tourism department had in 2018 awarded five projects, worth upto Rs 2 crore, in violation of the entrepreneurs and professionals rule, citing delay caused in obtaining concurrence of the finance department for the projects under the 2017-18 SADA.
Urging the government to enact a rule to reintroduce the work order system, the association stated that their demand “is public demand.”
