SHERGAON, Feb 22: NGO Halo Society (HS) on Saturday conducted a ‘career counselling-cum-motivation talk’ programme for the students of the government secondary school and the VKV here in West Kameng district.
HS members currently working in different fields shared their career-related experiences with the students, and advised them on choosing the best options from among their interests.
Census Director Dr Joram Beda spoke about his experience with competitive examinations.
The NGO donated books to the Garung Thuk Community Library. The alumni of the VKV, who are also members of the HS, donated a PA system to the school.
The members of the NGO also interacted with the Seinthuk Women Self Help Group, which runs a weaving centre here, and learned about the revival of the handloom weaving practices of the Sherdukpen tribe. (DIPRO)
