ITANAGAR, Feb 25: A 22-day training programme on ‘rural technologies and livelihood’, under the Green Skill Building (GSB) programme of the environment, forest & climate change ministry, concluded at Chandranagar here on Tuesday.
The programme was conducted by the Northeast regional centre of the GB Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment and Sustainable Development to create awareness on the ‘potential for self-employment for unemployed youths in different sectors and select the best fit green skill’.
Fifteen participants from different districts of the state were given theoretical knowledge and hands-on training on bio-composting, laboratory techniques, agri-horticulture products and marketing, beekeeping, bamboo-based products, mushroom cultivation, fishery, poultry farming, etc, by experts from various institutes and organizations from Arunachal and Assam.
