Course on research begins at RGU

RONO HILLS, Mar 8: A short-term course in ‘Doing research and academic writing’, organized by Rajiv Gandhi University’s (RGU) English department, got underway at the university here on Saturday.
The course is aimed at developing research aptitude among the participants, and to prepare them for a variety of academic and other situations in which research is required.
The course will equip the participants with the methodology required for pursuing academic research. It is designed to provide the participants with the opportunity to improve their skills in writing research papers and other academic texts.
The resource persons for the first day’s session were Drs Sarat Kumar Doley (from Tezpur University), Jayanta Vishnu Das (Tezpur University), Dhurjjati Sarma (Gauhati University), and C Shiv Shankar (RGU).
