PASIGHAT, Mar 29: The East Siang district administration on Saturday launched four dedicated helpline numbers for delivery of essential items at the people’s doorsteps.
The numbers are 8787614698, 6009041705, 8794128118 and 94362 55659.
One has to call the helpline numbers and place their request, detailing their requirement for delivery.
“No commodities other than the essential ones will be delivered or entertained,” DC Kinny Singh said.
The administration has also directed the supplier(s) to contact the helpline number 7628055420 to apply for interstate plying permits for procuring essential commodities.
In Ruksin subdivision, the local administration on Sunday started regulating the timing of grocery shops and food stores in order to prevent crowding by customers.
As per the order issued by Ruksin ADC Kabit Apang, the grocery shops will open at 9 am and close by 12 noon till 14 April.
The local administration has sealed nine liquor shops in Ruksin market for selling liquors illegally during the night hours.
The administration has also taken serious note of the movement of villagers in the markets in Ruksin, bordering Assam’s Jonai, on the pretext of buying medicines and grocery items, defying the lockdown order.
