ITANAGAR, Apr 20: “All hearings of RTI appeal and complaint cases shall be heard through videoconference,” the Arunachal Pradesh Information Commission (APIC) informed on Monday.
Appellants can use the ‘Lifesize’ video conference app, which can be downloaded from Google Play Store, the APIC said.
The decision was taken during a meeting between the state chief information commissioner (SCIC) and the state information commissioner (SIC) here on 20 April.
The commission also said that receipt of appeals/complaints in physical form will be suspended until further orders.
Those who intend to file an appeal or a complaint have been advised to do so in the electronic form and e-mail it to arunachal.ic@gmail.com.
Additionally, the SCIC and the SIC have volunteered to take a pay cut of 30 percent from their gross salaries for a month and deposit the amount in the account of the chief minister’s relief fund for use in combating Covid-19.
