EKSWCO anguished at release of ADC

SEPPA, MAY 8: The East Kameng Social Welfare and Cultural Organisation (EKSWCO) expressed anguish over the government’s decision to not reconsider its demand forcancelling the transfer order of Additional Deputy Commissioner P. Abhisek Polumatla from Seppa.
In a statement on Friday, EKSWCO expressed shock at the manner in which the deputy commissioner abruptly released ADC Abhisek from his charge especially, considering the current situation when the fight against Covid-19 is on and the district is in need of competent officers. The district’s parental organisation stated that before taking such decision, the DC should have taken the organisation into confidence first.
The EKSWCO members had called on minister for sports and youth affairs& WRD Mama Natung at his residence this morning to highlight the public resentment.
Natung had informed the EKSWCO members that Abhisek was urgently required in Itanagar because of his technical background. The minister denied any political high-handedness behind his transfer.
While, welcoming the posting of two local administrative officers to the district headquarters, the EKSWCO reiterated its demand of posting admin. officers against all the vacant posts at the earliest.
“Despite knowing that East Kameng is a challenging district, the non-posting of admin officers and other head of departments is unacceptable” EKSWCO added.
Further, the EKSWCO appealed to the people of the district to support and cooperate with the district administration in its fight against the pandemic. It said that due to ease in lockdown, the risk factor has increased and urged the people to maintain social distancing, wear masks and avoid spitting in public.
