RGU’s anthropology dept conducts online faculty dev prog

RONO HILLS, May 8: Rajiv Gandhi University [RGU]’s anthropology department conducted its online faculty development programme from 4 to 8 May.
The programme focused on emerging issues in social sciences research.
Resource persons from various universities and institutions within and outside the country attended the programme and deliberated in their areas of research expertise.
The programme made an attempt to address some of the most relevant issues, challenges and problems across the discipline of social sciences.
The programme was coordinated by Asst. Profs. Dr. Md. Asghar and Dr. Radhe Amung with the support and cooperation of other senior faculty members of the department.
The programme was joined by more than 100 participants from different parts of India and abroad.
The university’s Pro VC Prof. Amitabh K Mitra attended the valedictory programme.
Earlier, addressing the inaugural programme on May 4, RGU VC Prof. Saket Kushwaha emphasized the importance of such online programme despite the unprecedented situation in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic.
