ITANAGAR, Jul 14: The All Nyishi Students’ Union (ANSU) said that the state government has assured to address its demands regarding the Chief Minister’s Fellowship Programme (CMFP).
It said that, during meetings with Commissioner to CM, Sonam Chombey and Planning Secretary Himanshu Gupta, both assured that the matter of interviewing the shortlisted candidates would be taken up by the state government in consultation with the planning, law & finance department. The union added, however, that there was “no specific outcome of the demands.”
The ANSU stated that it has agreed to “wait for a certain time due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation,” but said it is firm on its four-point demand made earlier, and cautioned that “unnecessary delay will only lead to social unrest, leaving us with no choice but to resort to democratic means.”
