ITANAGAR, Sep 17: The Nyishi Elite Society (NES) and the Tanw Supun Dukun (TSD) have together decided not to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Nyishi-Apatani summit (NAS), scheduled for 20 September, in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Following a meeting the two organizations held recently, it was also decided that the NES and the TSD would have a joint meeting with the MLAs of Ziro-Hapoli and Yachuli to “finalize for immediate construction of the Nyishi-Apatani Unity Tower (NAUT),” the NES informed in a release.
It said the NES, the TSD, the NAUT construction committee and the land donors of both the communities would “re-inspect the site in view of earth-cutting works carried out on Potin-Pangin highway by the works agency, in which the proposed landscape might have been changed.”
