LEWANG, 16 Mar: Miao ADC Sunny K Singh on Monday proposed to convert the old building of the government middle school here in Changlang district into a health sub-centre-cum-de-addiction centre.
Presently the old school building is lying vacant as the classes have been shifted to the new building.
Speaking to this correspondent during a visit to Lewang on Monday, Singh said, “I have many other plans to empower the people living across the river,” and sought cooperation from all in this regard.
Lewang Gram Panchayat Chairperson Pisi Zaugawng Singpho on behalf of the people of N’hkumsang expressed gratitude to the ADC for proposing to turn the building into a health sub-centre-cum-de-addiction centre.
Miao Singpho Ramma Hpung president Gamseng Singpho assured of cooperation and support from the youths. “We will leave no stone unturned to make the centre a grand success. We stand behind our ADC,” he said.
