ITANAGAR, 15 May: Thirty paralegal volunteers (PLV) from various districts participated in an online training programme organized by the Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (APSLSA) on Saturday.
Addressing the webinar, APSLSA Member Secretary Jaweplu Chai spoke on the Arunachal Pradesh Victim Compensation Scheme, 2011, and the documents required for availing the compensation.
Advocate Marie Riba took a number of sessions, covering an array of important topics, including landmark judgments on women’s safety and protection. She also dwelt on women’s laws like the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, and the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, 2013.
Riba also spoke on the recent amendments in the POCSO Act, 2019 and Rules, 2020.
