ITANAGAR, 27 May: The Dream for United Arunachal (DUA) organization has condemned the assault on an eight-year-old by a teacher identified as Lukbi Bojir.
“It is learnt that this is not the first time the said teacher has done this to his own students. It is also learnt that he has beaten up many students by giving severe corporal punishment without any reason and traumatized them badly on many occasions. This kind of act shows that the teacher is a habitual offender,” the DUA said.
Stating that such an act cannot be tolerated, the organization requested the competent authority to take prompt and strong action against the offender “to set an example in the state and promote the government’s ‘Education for all’ mission.”
