RAT centre shifted from Ruksin to Aalo

AALO, 8 Jun: The West Siang district administration has shifted the rapid antigen test (RAT) centre from Ruksin to the Piyi check gate here. It was made operational on Monday.

If a person is symptomatic or tests positive by RAT on arrival, the district administration teams at the entry points will arrange transportation at the cost of the person for home isolation, after intimating the DMO concerned.

Any patient opting for admission to a Covid care centre will be lifted by an ambulance from the testing centre. “The POL and other expenses on this shall be borne by the district administration; the DMO will ensure placement of ambulance at the Piyi check gate, and the SDO (TPT) shall monitor the records of maintaining log books and POL log books and register,” the DIPRO informed in a release.

“In case of patients opting for home isolation, the parents of the patients shall arrange their own vehicle for further transportation, ensuring that the person follows all Covid-appropriate behaviour and SOPs for home isolation and discharge,” the release said.

However, if a patient is unable to arrange their own vehicle, the district administration will arrange transportation for them, provided that the patient or their family pays for the service.
