KHONSA, 17 Jun: After Tupi village in Longo circle, all the 137 people above 45 years of age in three villages in Bari Basip circle of Tirap district received the first dose of the anti-Covid vaccine.
The villages are New Lainwang, Old Lainwang and Jadhtung, informed Bari Basip CO Nekong Perme.
The achievement of cent percent vaccination coverage was made possible due to the efforts of MLA Wanglam Sawin, the district administration led by DC Taro Mize, the district health department led by DMO Dr N Lowang and DRCHO Dr Nidak Angu, the ASHAs, anganwadi workers and the PRI members, the CO said.
