ITANAGAR, 21 Jul: One Covid-19 related death has been reported on Wednesday, taking the state’s death toll to 204.
According to the DHS report, an 80-year-old male patient with comorbidity from Siang died at the dedicated Covid hospital (DCH) in Pasighat at 12:10 pm.
The patient complained of fever, cough and shortness of breath and tested Covid-19 positive through RAT at the Yembung PHC on 16 July. He was admitted to DCH Pasighat on 20 July. The patient’s vaccination status was nil.
Meanwhile, the state registered 418 Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, of whom 202 cases were symptomatic.
Capital Complex detected the highest 111 Covid-19 cases, followed by 31 cases in Lower Subansiri and 29 cases each in Papum Pare and Upper Subansiri.
With 17 percent, Kurung Kumey reported the highest positivity rate in the state. Capital Complex reported a positivity rate of 12 percent.
Also, a total of 365 patients from various health facilities across the state were declared recovered or discharged on Wednesday.
Currently, DCH Chimpu has a total of 58 patients, while DCH Pasighat has 10 patients. SQF Lekhi has 39 occupants. (see full bulletin)
