BASAR, 10 Sep: A team of scientists from the ICAR (RC) for NEH Region’s state centre here in Leparada district conducted a ‘diagnostic field visit’ to adopted village Sadi-Sago under the Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) programme on Friday.
The team, comprising Drs Doni Jini, Raghuveer Singh and Thejangulie Angami, besides Badapmain Makdoh from the state centre, provided low-cost polyhouse material (UV stabilized polythene and agro-shade net) to around 35 selected farmers under the TSP programme “for round-the-year vegetable cultivation and piglets along with low-cost housing,” the centre informed in a release.
The team also interacted with the farmers and offered suggestions on growing vegetables in sequence, parasitic infestation in pigs, deworming, etc.
