NAMPONG, 23 Sep: Thirty members from different women SHGs of Nampong circle participated in a training programme on ‘food processing and baking’ under the MEDP, conducted by Bethel Life Care Charitable Trust (BLCCT) here in Changlang district recently.
The programme was sponsored by the NABARD.
NABARD DDM Kamal Roy advised the SHG members to “make some unique items which can be marketed in the local area and branded, so that people from the corners purchase the product.”
He also suggested establishing a bakery unit in Nampong with credit support from banks.
ZPM Khimshom Mossang and BLCCT president Chandan Prasad also spoke.
