SEPPA, 27 Oct: A two-day programme on ‘Preservation of old manuscript, literature, arts & crafts and documentation of cultural activities’, organized by NGO Changkiu Bagang VFMC, concluded here in East Kameng district on Wednesday.
On the inaugural day, an essay writing competition was conducted for the students of the government middle school, in which Mekoni Hiffo, Tukbing Dodum and Anil Tana Tara secured the first, second and third position, respectively.
During the valedictory programme, Dipu Lamgu Gram Panchayat Chairperson Metung Gyadi urged all to use local dialects in daily life in order to preserve them, and encouraged the youths to take active part in such programmes.
