Speaker, ATA unit mourn GHSS VP’s demise

ITANAGAR, 8 Nov: Legislative Assembly Speaker PD Sona has expressed shock and grief over the demise of Kesang Sharjo, vice principal (VP) of the government higher secondary school (GHSS) in Mechukha in Shi-Yomi district, who breathed his last at a hospital in Dibrugarh, Assam, on 5 November.

Sharjo had joined the education department as a TGT (geography) in 1994 at the GHSS, Mechukha. He had served as the VP of the school for seven years and was in the process of being promoted as principal.

“Late Sharjo was a kind-hearted and hardworking person who served the society both as a teacher and as vice principal with full dedication and sincerity,” the speaker said in his condolence message, and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.

The Shi-Yomi district unit of the Arunachal Teachers’ Association (ATA) also deeply mourned Sharjo’s demise.

Describing his death as “a great loss to the society, particularly the teaching community of the state,” the ATA unit prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and for strength to the bereaved family. (Speaker’s PR Cell)
