DOIMUKH, 8 Dec: The 8th edition of the Chief Minister Sub-Veteran & Veteran State Ranking Badminton Tournament began at the Rono indoor badminton stadium here on Wednesday.
Doimukh MLA Tana Hali Tara inaugurated the tournament, which is being hosted by the Papum Pare District Badminton Association under the aegis of the Arunachal State Badminton Association (ASBA).
ASBA secretary Penya Bagra informed that 18 district affiliated associations, including the Capital Complex Badminton Association and the AP Police Sports Control Board are taking part in the tournament.
“With a total of 215 entries, 198 players are participating in different age categories: 35+, 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+, and 35+ mixed doubles (men’s & women’s categories),” he said.
