Gov, CM extend Sarok greetings

ITANAGAR, 10 Jan: Governor BD Mishra and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have in separate messages greeted the people of the state on the occasion of Sarok festival of the Aka community.

The governor in his message expressed hope that the festivity would invoke blessings from the deities for the wellbeing and prosperity of the society.

“I join my Aka brethren in offering prayers to invoke the spirit of the almighty to protect us from the Corona pandemic and bless each one of us with good fortune and health,” he said.

The chief minister in his message expressed hope that the festival would usher in a prosperous new year and take Arunachal “on an unprecedented path of development.”

Calling for promoting peace for the development of the state, he said, “I wish all my people a successful celebration, and may the almighty shower their choicest blessings on them.”

“May this Sarok mark the beginning of the end of Covid-19,” he added, and urged the people to observe Covid-appropriate behaviour. (Raj Bhavan & CM’s PR Cell)
